The highlights, if they can be described as such, of another very quiet day of strong westerly wind and showers were a
Jackdaw, a
Carrion Crow and a
Kestrel. Other passerines on the island, most of which arrived a few days or more previously, included a
Robin, a
Whinchat, 14
Fieldfares, 19
Redwings, a
Pied Wagtail, 3
Blackcaps, a
Chiffchaff, a
Goldcrest, 2
Chaffinches and 10
Bramblings.
A small flock of Bramblings has been frequenting the Holland House gardens and nearby stubble fields for a few days.
