While most migrants remained in similar or slightly lower numbers, the highlight of the day was a
Buff-breasted Sandpiper seen in flight near Bewan Loch, although it could not be relocated on the ground. A couple of
Yellow-browed Warblers were the best of the new passerines, and other noteworthy migrant species included 15
Tree Pipits, 4
Redstarts, 5
Spotted Flycatchers, 26
Bramblings, 121
Song Thrushes and a
North-Western Redpoll. An
American Golden Plover, 3
Hen Harriers and 2
Woodpigeons were all still present.
