A day of non-stop torrential rain was not very productive for finding birds. A new Whitethroat was near the observatory and 3 Chiffchaffs, 4 Siskins and a male Red-backed Shrike were in Holland House garden. The shrike was possibly a new bird, but it was not seen well enough to ascertain whether or not it was ringed.
